120 Club
In 2005 ILCSC started the 120 Club as a fund raiser to get out of debt. Well, it seems like forever ago since this great idea came about and created some very faithful givers. In 2009, A Year for Change, w e w ant to jump start the 120 Club as a permanent w ay to bring in funds to the camp. The goal is no longer just to alleviate debt, but to keep the camp functioning in the best possible way. Any one w ho has ever spent any time at ILCSC know s the impact the place can have on the soul. Not just of campers, but staff of all ages as well.
That is a little bit about w hat it is, here is a little bit about how it w orks.
By joining the 120 Club you are committing to give ILCSC $10 a month for a full year ($10 a month, 12 months in a year = $120 – hence, “120 Club”). This may sound like a big deal at first, but w hen you really think about it you’re not giving up that much. Maybe this means that every month you give up 5 cups of coffee at Dunkin Donuts, 2 movie rentals at Blockbuster, or a trip to McDonalds. Or maybe you don’t even have to give these things up because you have wads of money sitting around – but than again, maybe you don’t. The goal of doing it this way is 2-fold: 1) so that the member can donate monthly and not feel pressured to give one big donation (although this is perfectly expectable if you prefer) and 2) so that if w e had multiple people giving this way there would be steady income during all of the months of the year and not just during camp season.
So, what now ?
Glad you asked. If you are interested in joining the 120 Club there are a few options for you.
